I want to start out by wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. Way back in 1985 I was blessed to marry my college sweetheart Diane and I’m looking forward to spending this Valentine's Day weekend at home with her. There isn’t a lot of love in the air in the Kansas legislature these days as many controversial issues are being debated. Despite the heated nature of some of these debates, things remain civil as we continue doing the work of the people.

Oxford King & Queen Crowned

Rod and Cindy Rush were crowned Valentine’s King & Queen last Friday at the Oxford Friendship Center. The valentine’s festivities were kicked off at noon and voting took place after a special chicken fried steak dinner and treats were passed out to guests.
